Seeking Lead Facilitators for LGBTQ+ Youth Alliance
Volunteer position with $50 stipend per month
Est. 10+ hours per month

SShAGLY, an LGBTQ+ youth alliance on the south shore of MA for middle and high school students, is seeking caring and supportive adult members of LGBTQ+ and ally community for the volunteer position of Adult Advisor. All AGLY Adult Advisors are volunteer superheroes that make a difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 25 years old
• Must have some previous experience working with either LGBTQ+ youth or other youth populations
• Must agree to be screened based on criminal offense record information (a CORI check)

Tasks will include:

• Facilitating twice monthly meetings at our Duxbury location
• Planning meeting activities in partnership with youth members
• Coordinating and communicating with the AGLY Network, PFLAG volunteers (a support group for adults with an LGBTQ+ person in their lives), the First Parish staff (our host site), and South Shore Resource and Advocacy Center
• Maintaining SShAGLY's online presence through our website, newsletter, and social media
• Attending quarterly AGLY Network meetings either in person or via Zoom​
